Re-purchased Loans

Lets say we originate a loan, and sell it to an investor. Then, for whatever reason the investor requires us to purchase the loan back from them in a different calender year. Are we required to report the re-purchase as a purchase in the following years LAR? Better example, we sell the loan in December of 2006, and in January of 2007 we re-purchase the loan. Do we report the loan as a purchase on the 2007 LAR? [8]
