Does the HMDA LAR have to be in census tract order? Or any other order for that matter?[^] From page 26 of the 2004 Guide to Getting it right! " Aside from those three modifications (removing the app#, app date and action date), Regulation C does not permit deletions. Nor does Regulation C require any changes to the format or order of the data before their disclosure. Nevertheless, institutions are strongly encouraged to make the data available in census tract order, if possible." The above would pertain to the actual printed Public LAR, or Public LAR in PDF format. If you are providing the data via a Public LAR HMDA.DAT format, the person receiving the data should be able to sort the data anyway they wish, so the initial sort order should not matter. The RATA Comply software contains functionality for all of these requirements. Thank you. [^] Our good friends CLC is requesting our LAR. We are going to print it out for them, so I wanted to make sure I dont have to do anything special to before I print it. Remember, you can charge them reasonable costs to satisfy their request. I would send them a letter and an invoice for $.08 per page and the costs associated with shipping. Upon receipt of payment from them I would send the stack of paper. |
