Vice President of Compliance **JOB OPPORTUNITY**

Biomet, a leading manufacturer of orthopedic devices, is seeking a Vice President of Compliance to join its Parsippany, NJ office. This position supports the corporate compliance program to ensure appropriate legal, ethical and compliant conduct within the Company. Researches and analyzes legal information relevant to the healthcare compliance field. Reviews and tracks legal documents and services between the company and healthcare providers/consultants. Provides training and monitors HIPAA related issues. Provides guidance on healthcare compliance issues to management, employees and sales force. Investigates facts of internal investigations to prepare recommendations to management on course of action. Oversees the preparation of operational and compliance audits. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and significant related experience required. Must be able to make independent decisions on a daily basis and communicate those decisions efficiently. The ability to read and interpret financial reports, contracts, and legal documents is required. Must be able to communicate with outside counsel on compliance issues. Excellent verbal/written communication skills and the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the Company are required. PLEASE NOTE: Some travel will be required.
